In 1923, Miquel Mateu purchased Peralada Castle and revived a wine-producing tradition that dated back to the 14th century, when the Carmelite monks were already producing excellent wine. Today, Javier Suqué, grandson of the founder, maintains the same spirit of uniting tradition and modernity.
